Should Downloading Be Broken Up Essay - 1251 Words

Traditional downloading is a very simple process: one goes online, finds the file that they desire, and directly downloads the entirety of the file directly to their computer. This process is not only time consuming, it also cannot be broken up, as doing so will cancel the entire process. This way of downloading however can be done alone and without the assistance of anyone beyond the person that uploaded the initial file. Peer to peer file-sharing is a networked way to download a much larger file by downloading it one piece at a time. Users both download and upload pieces of a much larger file at the same time, sharing their pieces with other people who are downloading the file while acquiring new pieces. This process is guided by a very small file called a torrent that permits this transfer to take place by acting similar to a radio frequency. Downloading and running this torrent file will allow you to participate in the information exchange this allows the file transfer to be much faster, seeing as multiple incoming sources exist simultaneously as outgoing sources, but it also allows a user to stop and resume a download at will. The majority of uses for this technology are for illegal downloading, though other companies and products have made use of the speed and clarity offered by peer to peer file sharing. In a moment of irony, Steam, the largest online retailer of PC games, uses the same process as the pirates in order to permit legal users to download the games theShow MoreRelatedThe Digital Music Industry Is Forever Evolving999 Words   |  4 PagesThe digital music industry is forever evolving. The Assassination Of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy...

November 22, 1963, is a day that lives in infamy. Most Americans remember that day, even those who were not born, for one reason. The assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy transpired in Dallas, Texas. His assassination became a topic of controversy as the idea of a lone sniper committing the act was hard to accept. The assassin would go on to die a few days later. Media outlets around the nation were in shock. The local Metroplex stations panicked like everyone else. As a native Texan, correction native Dallasite, I view the Kennedy assassination differently than most Americans. I want to stick close to my Dallas roots, and analyze what occurred on Elm Street that day and how the local media covered the event. The Dallas Metroplex is massive, totaling 10,693 square miles, 12 counties, and over 6 million inhabitants. The Metroplex being so extensive, it was unlikely that every citizen and every city reacted to the Kennedy assassination in the same fashion. For that reason, I decided to spread my sights, and focus on three cities in different parts of the Metroplex. Analyzing the distinct patterns in their newspaper publications from November 21st to November 25th provides a unique point of view of how the Metroplex responded as a whole. Once, I have developed a keen understanding of the media response in the Metroplex; I can compare it to the Warren Commission report and how they portrayed what occurred in Dealey Plaza on a late November day. International Conference on System Sciences

Question: Discuss about the International Conference on System Sciences. Answer: Introduction: The author of the paper has highlighted how old form of budgeting in a company is considered to be an old way to control the company. The process is very cumbersome and is a difficult way to reach a conclusion where ideas are often misplaced. The author also highlights how the process of budgeting can even be dangerous. The Author is of the view that it is dangerous because it might hinder adaptions of new situations as and when they arrive. If a company believes in its budget, it might become rigid, and if a company does not in its budget then whats the point of making one. The paper also talks about alternative ways by means of which one can control the company without the process of budgeting. The company should create a raw sheet which will provide critical indicators, ratios and both physical and financial measures (Hope, 2013). These indicators should be evaluated on a regular basis and all control actions that need to be taken should be done using these indicators. This will a llow the company to be more flexible and take up any situation which may arrive very easily. One such tool which the author highlights is the balanced scorecard which can provide all details about the situation in the company (Niemeyer, 2016). The author ends with the statement that one should not get pre-occupied with building these measures and should rather focus on the fundamental problems and situations in the company. I am of the belief that the approach is very practical and should be implemented by the companies of the future. However in exercising flexibility in monitoring and steering, the designing of key indicators of the company is important (Baiocchi, 2014).
